Going to the Races
A day at the races isn’t just a time to watch an incredible sport, visit with friends & experience the charm Kentucky has to offer…it’s a time to make a fashion statement y’all!
Whether it’s the Fall or Spring meet, any day at the races is a good day to look great and most importantly, feel confident!
I paired this adorable faux suede Dry Goods dress with my favorite pair of cognac boots, along with some Susan Shaw jewelry.
Fall Meet
Fall at Keeneland is a wonderful time y’all! The leaves on the trees have turned, and it’s officially boot season.
After a long, hot summer. I have been so ready for boot season. Fall fashion is so fun!
Keeneland is only open for racing three weeks in the Fall & three weeks in the Spring, so one must make the most of it.
When I think of Keeneland Fashion, I think of something classic & timeless. In each of these fall looks, I have paired solid color dresses with fun accessories.
So, when you’re getting ready to head to the races during the fall, you must think of the essentials: boots, a cute dress, accessories & even a fun hat!
I love this look! I paired a sleeveless black dress from Target, along with these adorable black heeled boots. Over top, I paired this fun shawl and a Fall hat.
Spring Meet
The Spring Meet at Keeneland is full of colors! The trees are full of green leaves & the flowers are blooming! Gals wear colorful dresses, or even jumpsuits full & guys bring out the light colored blazers & bowties.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again- I love jumpsuits! One of the most important things to remember no matter what time of year, be comfortable. Many times you’re standing or walking quite a bit, so come ready y’all.
While there’s not an official dress code for all areas of Keeneland, many people follow in the storied traditions and look their best. That’s one of my favorite things!

Keeneland is a unique experience, unlike any other. There are such special traditions & culture. It’s truly something you have to see to believe. If y’all are in town in October or April during the races, take my advice, and check it out! And…don’t forget, when you’re at Keeneland, we’re all a big Kentucky family.
