Kentucky Bloggers Bash
“Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back.”
There’s something to be said about being part of a community y’all. We’re all part of many communities…whether it be the neighborhood we live in, where we work, our friends, etc. The same goes for blogging.
This past weekend, I attended the Kentucky Bloggers End of the Year Bash. I have to tell y’all, I was a little anxious & excited. As a newbie to the blogging world, I had no idea what to expect, but couldn’t wait. Looking back, I am so so glad I took a step out of my comfort zone, attended the event & had a blast!
The event was held at The Galerie in Versailles. The Galerie is absolutely gorgeous! We met one of the owners, Jessica Kite, and let me tell you, she is a breath of fresh air. The Galerie is formerly Versailles United Methodist Church built in 1922, nestled in the heart of downtown Versailles. Jessica told us the story of how the building was transformed from being an old church to becoming the beautiful event venue that it is today- and it is the sweetest story. I won’t spoil it for you, but I will say that it all began with Jessica and her hubby, Jordan, looking for a space to get married. You can read the full story in an article in The Lane Report.
The Galerie has everything you need for the perfect event! From a four-room bridal suite to a two-room groom suite, private party rooms, corporate meeting space & much more!
No event is complete without the perfect food & drink, and Sweet Lilu’s did just that! We were treated to yummy treats: Buffalo Chicken Dip, Caramelized Onion + Goat Cheese Tarts, Kentucky Hot Brown Tarts, Grilled Pineapple + Kielbasa skewers, a beautiful Charcuterie board & some mini desserts. Everything was so tasty. I will say though, my favorite- the mini salted caramel cheesecake. Y’all- I could have eaten a big slice of it…It was heavenly! In addition to a gorgeous food table, Sweet Lilu’s offered a wine bar.
What blogger doesn’t like to take photos? For our bash, The Big Event Photos set up a fun photo booth! We had a blast donning masks, bunny ears, crowns & much more. On their website, they say they want to add a splash of excitement to any event, and that couldn’t be more true.
The gals of Kentucky Bloggers & Backroad Bluegrass Blog did an amazing job planning the first Kentucky Bloggers Bash & Awards. From the decor the set up, vendors sponsoring their services & time and so much more— everything was unbelievable! Both are total boss babes! All of their hard work definitely paid off.
I am truly blessed to have been welcomed into the Kentucky Bloggers group. I walked in with butterflies in my stomach, but walked out confident & with new friends. Our little community is so supportive & I am so grateful!
And, speaking of photos, our sweet event organizers even brought in a photographer, Kinga Mnich, to capture all of the fun of our bash. Kinga was so sweet & captured such fun candid & posed shots!
