Decorating for Easter

“Never Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle”

Y’all, it’s a truly crazy time we’re living in- schools are closed, no dining in restaurants and so much more. Now, more than ever, we have to think about what we’re thankful for. For me, I’m trying to do as much as I can to support local businesses.

With a little more free time, and some new decor, I was ready to transform our living room to be Easter ready.

I went for a rustic Easter approach, and absolutely love it! On the left side of our entertainment center, I pulled together several elements. I started with a couple wood slices that I picked up at Home Goods. Next, I pulled out an old square wooden crate. I filled the crate with some craft paper and burlap, then added two large artificial hydrangeas. To hide part of the crate, I added some artificial greenery and a large burlap bow.

For the focus of the arrangement, I added a “Happy Easter” sign that I picked up at Target a few years ago. To add more of an Easter flare, I pulled out an old ceramic egg carton and added a few wooden eggs that I picked up at the Dollar Spot at Target.

My favorite parts of this arrangement, the tiny topiary trees and the bundle of carrots. I picked these up at one of my favorite local boutiques, Two Chicks Lexington. During this uncertain time, you can still shop at their boutique. While they have limited hours. Emily and her crew have curbside pickup & if you live in Fayette or Jessamine County, they will deliver your purchase to your door!

I continued my rustic Easter theme to the other side of our entertainment center. I used another wood slice as the base. Then, I used a small rectangular tobacco basket on the left side of the arrangement. I filled the basket with some burlap on the bottom, cotton, artificial greenery and more of the wooden eggs that I picked up at Target. On the right side of this arrangement, I used a ceramic vase and artificial flowers.

Each time I change arrangements, I add some tea lights. I love having candles lit in our home.

Y’all during this crazy time, it’s so important to find things to do that bring us joy. Decorating our home does that for me. It’s also so important to support local businesses the best way that we can.

So, while Easter could look a little different this year (although, I hope it doesn’t), I already feel in the mood here at home.
